Date: February 5, 2009 DAC Products, Inc. of Continues to Invest in the Future DAC Products continues to add equipment with leading edge technology; even during the economic hardships most companies are experiencing. During the last 90 days they have purchased and installed additional CNC routers, high volume sanders, and an additional radio frequency glue dryer, to enhance and increase their woodworking operation. The sewing operation has added additional machines and a CNC cutting table for various materials including fabric, vinyl, and cardboard. |

Additional equipment has also been purchased for printing and logistics. This is the first major investment since January of 2007 when DAC purchased the assets to the former 21C Retail Arts. DAC was founded by the current owners in 1987. The company designs and produces point of purchase displays, fixtures, sales presentation carrying cases, large format and screen printed graphics, as well as providing warehouse services for over 250 accounts throughout North America.
DAC President, Tony Smith states “We are in the business of creating products and services that help our customers present a professional image and that continues to be the basis for our investment. We are considered a one-stop-shop for many of our customers, who range from Building Products, to Electronics, to Furniture. September 30, 2008 DAC Products Receives Second Honor for Sales Growth DAC Products was recently named a Fast 50 recipient by The Triad Business Journal. Criteria for the Fast 50 award includes a three year sales history in its selection process, and honors the top fifty growth companies in central North Carolina including Winston Salem, Greensboro, and High Point and surrounding cities. DAC was established in 1987 and now has 90 employees. Tony Smith, President of DAC Products, credits his employees’ skills and dedication to the company’s growth. “We have worked hard to develop a team that works and communicates efficiently, both internally and with our customer base,” Smith says. DAC’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Todd Woods stated “We are very thankful that we have been able to sustain and increase our sales in what has been a fairly tough time in the building products industry”. September 23, 2008 DAC Products Honored for Sales Growth DAC Products has recently been named nineteenth for outstanding sales growth performance in the Annual WOOD 100 Report. The report, which profiles and ranks 100 fast-growing woodworking companies, was published in the September 2008 issue of Wood & Wood Products magazine. Established in 1987 with 90 employees, DAC grew their sales by 57% in 2007. September 15, 2008 DAC Products and Kaplan Early Learning Announce Strategic Alliance DAC Products, Inc., a manufacturer with facilities in Rural Hall and East Bend, NC and Kaplan Early Learning, a Lewisville, NC company that provides products and services to enhance children’s learning, announced today that their companies will partner in the design and production of wood and laminated children’s furniture to be distributed by Kaplan. The partnership combines DAC’s years of design and manufacturing experience with Kaplan’s sales and distribution capabilities in the early childhood care and education market. DAC produces all types of products from wood materials and laminates as well as sewn goods and graphics. May 6, 2008 DAC Products Announces Improvements to Popular KD Display and I.G. Demo
DAC Products, manufacturer of sample and display materials for the window and door industry has introduced new improvements to their popular knock down window display. The previous caster system, which was designed for moving the display around a show room, has been replaced. The display now has a reinforcing steel u-channel foot with rubber casters. This upgrade will allow window dealers to use the display in more mobile applications such as mall shows and fairs. A new cam lock fastener system has also incorporated along with simplified instructions, allowing for quicker and easy assembly. The KD display is available in blue and black and can be purchased with customized graphics in a quantity of only one. In addition to the KD Display improvements DAC has improved their 4 Side I.G Demonstration. Enhancements include turnbuckles for securing the radiometer, an improved sliding shelf, and a new stop system permitting the use of single pane glass during demonstrations. These upgrades allow for more flexibility as well as easier and safer operation. The 4 side I.G. Demo is produced from natural finish oak and can be used on a counter top or with the optional pedestal stand.
October 1, 2007 DAC Continues to Add Products and Services DAC has upgraded their website to offer an FTP site. This feature allows customers to easily upload large artwork files to the website. The feature has clear instructions on how to set up a login and password. Then the file can easily be uploaded just like it would be burned to a CD. This makes the artwork instantly available for DAC to begin work on graphics instead of waiting for a CD to arrive via mail or other parcel service.
March 5, 2007 DAC Products Announces Acquisition There have been some very exciting developments at DAC Products in the last few weeks! They have purchased the assets of 21C Retail Arts and also retained a number of the key management and plant personnel with a combined experience of over 75 years. 21C, a retail display products and services company, has designed and produced showrooms and fixtures for retail accounts such as Lazy Boy, Nextel, Sprint, S & K Menswear, Bassett Furniture, and other national brands. With this purchase, DAC’s manufacturing and warehouse space has now more than doubled, bringing the total space to over 200,000 square feet. All of which is supported by two graphic and conceptual artists, and four product design engineers as well as experienced customer service, purchasing and manufacturing professionals. Tony Smith, President of DAC Products, Inc. stated “We are very excited about the solid financial and management support we can lend and the additional services and offerings that we will be able to provide both our existing DAC customers and the former 21C customers; all with the same high caliber customer service, sales and manufacturing quality their customers have become accustomed to.” He added “This purchase, along with DAC’s building products focus, will enable us to supplement products offered in the past, as well as increase services to include everything from point of purchase fixtures, to complete showroom layout and design services.” DAC has recognized the trend to more upscale showrooms in the building products industry and this acquisition gives them a solid platform to build on with expanded choices to their customers. August 30, 2004 DAC Products Launches New Division! DAC Products, a leading manufacturer of sample, display and marketing tools, has announced a new full-service graphics department that will further integrate their product offering for its customers. This department provides complete creative and printing services to complement DAC’s array of sample cases and displays. They can now design and print photo quality graphics on a full assortment of industry-focused products DAC offers. DAC customers will now be able to order a sample or display with integrated graphics, eliminating additional print sourcing on behalf of its business partners. New state-of-the-art digital printing equipment for printing full color, photo-like images, as well as providing vinyl lettering and multiple color screen-printing, will ensure DAC customers receive the full spectrum of merchandising print media. DAC’s vision is to provide a one-stop resource for its customers’ sample and display needs. By eliminating a customer’s need to purchase sample cases from one business partner and the printing and P.O.P. from a separate supplier, DAC can reduce their costs, provide consistency among graphic standards and reduce overall lead times.
